How Warranties Work

As a fitness equipment retailer, Southside Fitness works directly with the manufacturers and national distributors of the brands we carry.

In most cases, warranty claims for these brands are handled by the brand’s national distributor or manufacturer, and not directly by Southside Fitness. This is standard practice in the fitness equipment industry, and ensures claims are managed by the people with the deepest product knowledge and access to parts.

The exception is Revolution Fitness and FFittech, where warranty support is managed in-house by Southside Fitness.

Generally, exact warranties are determined by brands and different items (strength or cardio) have different warranties. 

Revolution Fitness & Ffittech: Warranty Managed by Southside Fitness

All Revolution Fitness and Ffittech products are covered by a warranty administered directly by our team. If you experience a fault with a Ffittech or Revolution Fitness product, please contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.

All Other Brands: Distributor & Manufacturer Warranties

For all other brands we stock, including Schwinn, Horizon Fitness, Bodyworx, York Fitness and others, warranty claims are managed by the relevant national distributor. You will find the distributor’s contact details on your invoice or in the product documentation included with your purchase.

What to Do If Your Product Has a Fault

If you experience an issue with your equipment, please follow these steps:

  1. Check your invoice or product documentation for the relevant distributor contact details.
  2. Contact us or the distributor by email with: proof of purchase, a clear description of the fault, and supporting photos or video where possible.
  3. Do not attempt to repair or modify the equipment prior to making a warranty claim, as this may void your warranty.
  4. Our team or the relevant distributor will assess your claim and advise on next steps, which may include replacement parts, a repair, or a replacement unit.

Who to Contact

Return Freight for Faulty Items

Where a product is confirmed as genuinely faulty, Southside Fitness will cover return freight costs in some circumstances. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us before returning any item. Unauthorised returns cannot be accepted.

 

Returns & Exchanges

Change of Mind

We do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind purchases or incorrect orders. We encourage customers to visit one of our showrooms to see equipment in person before purchasing, and to review product specifications carefully online.

Approved Returns

In exceptional circumstances, returns may be considered at the discretion of Southside Fitness. If a return is approved, the following conditions apply:

  • The item must be returned to the store of purchase at the buyer’s expense.
  • The item must be in new, unused condition and in its original, undamaged packaging.
  • Proof of purchase must accompany the return.
  • Prior approval must be obtained from Southside Fitness before sending any goods back, so we can identify them appropriately when they arrive.
  • A 10% restocking fee may apply.
  • Returns are typically processed within 1–3 business days.

Refunds

Refunds are not available for change of mind or incorrect purchases. Where a product fault cannot be remedied through repair or replacement, a refund may be considered consistent with your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our warranty and returns policy does not exclude, restrict or modify your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
